Recommended: Music as a means of socialization
Music plays an important role in socialization of children, teens, and adults. Music provides entertainment and distraction from problems and serves as a way to relieve tension, stress, boredom, etc. There are a lot of different types of emotion that is showed throughout the book Quarantine by the characters David, Will, and Hilary. From sad to happy, from angry to calm there is all kinds of different swings. In the following I will be assigning a song that I think describes the type of emotion that the character was feeling. The characters I will be accessing are David, Will, and Hilary who is David’s ex girlfriend. The first character that I will be elaborating on is David who is the main character. David has a pretty interesting personality …show more content…
Will has also has a pretty interesting personality just like his brother David and has also done a lot of crazy things. The song I think would describe Will is Comeback by Kane Brown. The reason why I chose this song is because this song I think describes how Will never gives up on anything. Also how Will always tries to comeback from anything that has happened to him or anyone in the group, like David. Now for the lyrics from the song that describes him or his actions: “You haven’t stopped me yet so I guess I’ll keep going on” this lyric is from the chorus of the song. I think that these lyrics really explain what kind of person Will is and how he never gives up and keeps going on. Now, getting into the quote from the book that shows an example of Will not giving up and how it ties with Comeback. “I won’t ever give up on getting out of here, whatever it takes I’ll do it” this quote here ties into the song Comeback because even though there are some tough times Will isn’t going to give up on getting out of that school. This can also kind of describe David, as he also is not giving up on getting out of that school and away from everyone else. To conclude, I think that Comeback ties into Will’s actions and personality in the book Quarantine: The
The song I picked for this homework assignment is called Runaway Love by Ludacris and Mary J. Blige. The song is describing the hardships of three young girls and their struggle to survive. Finally, the girls are fed up with the lives they are forced to live and decide to pack up their things and run away. I think this song can relate to many aspects of sociology that we have learned in class. Some examples shown through the song are poverty, education, healthcare, marriage and family. All three girls’ different stories and struggles they face.
The main characters were Charlie and Riley. I did enjoy the characters. I found them intriguing and loved that I could relate with Charlie. They were characters that in the eyes of the public would be considered bad, but in my eyes, they were trying to be good.
Releasing Emotion Everyone has good days and bad days, good months and bad months, but what people need when they are down is someone to talk to. In the short story, “Sonny’s Blues,” by James Baldwin, Sonny is in a rough patch in life, and he has no one to share his feelings with. Sonny turns to music to let out his emotions, but like many artists, he struggles to do so. He turns to drugs to make his troubles go away, but this leads to even more problems.
There are six main characters in this story: Mark, David, Susan, Jeff, Betsy, and Mr. Griffin. The most influential would be Mark. He is the one who comes up with the plan to kidnap Mr. Griffin. He is not a very good student and has a reputation of being a "bad boy." Next there is David. David is supposed to be one of the better kids in the story. He is a senior who is in the same class as Mark and the other characters. His role in the kidnapping is to get Susan to go along with the plan., and to help with the kidnapping itself. He seems to be a rather good kid in the beginning of the story but he progresses to be one of the bad ones. He has a very stressful home life with his mom and grandma. Then there is Susan. Susan is the good student and kid of the group. She is thought of as unpopular and a geek. She is very bright considering that she is a junior and is taking an English IV class. She is supposed to distract Mr. Griffin by having a meeting with him after school on the day of the event. She then gets pulled into the conflict even further when she wants to go to the police when Mr. Griffin dies. She almost gets

From the beginning it becomes obvious that many of the characters represent familiar archetypes. Gabbie is a budding young virgin, beautiful, innocent, and vulner...
The first character that intrigued me, probably because I could relate to him the most was Andrew, the "jock." A jock is the group of people that are athletically inclined and are usually part of a sports team. When all the students were confessing what they had done he seemed the most regretful of his actions. Andrew being a great wrestler at school saw an unsuspecting teammate that was much smaller than he was and decided to jump on him and start beating up on him. What made his case so extreme was that not only did beat up on his teammate but he taped his butt cheeks together. The perception that I, as well as the members of the breakfast club, had of Andrew was that he couldn't think for himself. He also thought the same thing because he said that he felt pressured by his dad to do something mischievous because he (his dad) used to get into mischievous acts often while he was in high school. So while he was looking at his smaller teammate he said that all he could here was his father telling him about being a winner and doing so many unnecessary things just because he was an exceptional athlete. When Andrew told his story it seemed that all the other people were going to cry because they could see that he regretted doing what he did.

On "Spread music not the flu", "Spred popcorn. Not flu", and "Shots arent just for kids" advertise the same idea. This 3 advertising campaigns effectively promotes the influenza vaccination by creating people to follow and take action esspacially for children. The porpuse of this vaccination is to quit spreading the desiese, and makes sure that others who hasn't taken the shot, would not affect you in any type of way.
As we progress though the novel, we a introduced to a variety of characters in the story like Rachel Turner
For many of us, one of the most accurate and effective ways to express the feelings that really matter to us is through music. We don’t only grow to attached to songs that are catchy, but also those with lyrics that we can relate to. It is not uncommon to feel like sometimes, artists can convey the way we feel better than we could ourselves. The storybook-like lines you read at the start of this page are a collection of lyrics
The first character I’m gonna talk about is Zach Powers. He was one of the popular 8th graders, and he was mean to Cap and he judged him. He gets schooled because he makes Cap the president and tries to make fun of him. But surprisingly, he becomes the most popular 8th grader. Zach then becomes unpopular . For example on page he says,”How do you think I felt at lunch on Tuesday when I walked with the tray and found Cap at my table in my seat?” This shows he’s mad that Cap is now popular. He should have learned to not make fun of people. He is a static character, he doesn’t really change.
