Multiple Characters To Get Schooled

The title schooled is appropriate for this novel because multiple characters in this novel get schooled. To start off, schooled is when you get taught a lesson. The characters that got schooled are Capricorn Anderson, Zach Powers, and Sophie Donnelly. Capricorn is the main character and he moves to Claverage Middle School from Garland Farm. He’s never been in a public school because he has been homeschooled for all his life by his grandmother. The first character I’m gonna talk about is Zach Powers. He was one of the popular 8th graders, and he was mean to Cap and he judged him. He gets schooled because he makes Cap the president and tries to make fun of him. But surprisingly, he becomes the most popular 8th grader. Zach then becomes unpopular . For example on page he says,”How do you think I felt at lunch on Tuesday when I walked with the tray and found Cap at my table in my seat?” This shows he’s mad that Cap is now popular. He should have learned to not make fun of people. He is a static character, he doesn’t really change.

She’s the daughter of Ms. Donnelly. When Cap first moved in with them she called him names and treated him horribly. She gets schooled because she finds out Cap bought her the bracelet instead of her Dad and realizes how bad she treated him. For example, on page 176 she says, “From the first day he’d first step into our house, I’d declared war on the poor kid. I’d called him freakazoid, poured water on him, and never missed a chance to point out what a loser he was. And he’d responded by doing the most wonderful thing anyone had ever done for me.” This shows how bad she feels. She’s a dynamic character because she hated Cap in the beginning and she did him a favor by taking him to the Halloween
