In the United States government we have 3 branches. One of the branches that without it we can’t make any laws. This branch is called the legislative branch. In this branch its job is to make laws. In this branch which is set up into two houses the House of Representatives, and the Senate. In this bicameral branch each house has different roles and is set up differently. The reason for this was because when the constitution was being ratified, the smaller states fear that the larger states would have more power than them. In each committee it’s over what to decide which bills and resolutions should move forward to the consideration by the House or Senate as whole. Each committee chairmen have enormous influence over this process. Such as the House of Representatives there are also leaders of the senate such as the president of the Senate whose job is to be the principal of the Senate, the Speaker of the House who preside over session of the House or Assembly, the Majority leader who speaks for the majority, unlike the minority leader who speaks for the minorities, etc. In the House of Representatives are made of 435 members and 6 non- voting members for the territories of the United States. In the House of Representatives each representative is elected every two years. In order to be a representative you must be a least 25 years of age, must be a citizen of the U.S for at least seven years, and you must be a resident of the state of your
