Our futures are important to us, but what we choose could quite possibly be even more important to our community and generation but no pressure.The legislative branch is commonly overlooked, however,its actually extremely important and incredibly large part of the government.Legislation is one branch out of three in the branches of government.Every state has a legislator that represents their state federally.When you represent a state,you're giving you're fellow citizens a voice and truly aiding them in exercising their power and freedom which is the very concept in which our founding fathers expected us to do.The legislative branch is very important and a large part of government. As stated by (yourarticlelibrary.com) a bi-cameral legislature "Prevents the first house from becoming "arbitrary and despotic"".This is very critical because the security of the second house gives more reassurance that your state is in safe hands and you won't be overpowered by your government because after all,the people are just as important if not more important than the representatives they elect.In a typical session you would debate or brainstorm solutions and ideas to problems you see in your state.(yourarticlelibrary.com)claimed that a bi-cameral legislature "Provides a convenient means for giving representation to different classes and interests".Meaning that I would be able to lean more on my own moral beliefs and traditions because If you can represent several different classes and interests,then my job is not just black and white,but more fitted to me and the residents of that state. However, according to (BLS.gov) you have to get a "masters degree in or PH.D. in political science,public administration (or related field)".They also state there is no required experience in related occupations along with no on the job training.I like this idea because it allows me to be responsible for my own future.It doesn't hand anything to you or give you specific guidelines, which means that you can do whatever you feel would benefit you. The dedication it takes to be a legislature is rigorous, however,if you make it through the hard work,then you would be doing your society a great service.According to (BLS.gov),the work environment is "typically, work full time in an office.They sometimes work additional hours to finish reports and meet deadlines.More than half worked in federal government in 2014" Wanting a family would make this difficult, however with the passion I have for a future family and this future career I would be flexible.(BLS.gov) Informed me that political scientists "study the origin,development,and opperation of political systems.
