The Never Forgotten Leaders from the past and leaders today all have similar qualities. These qualities are what make every leader one of the best the world has seen so far. Some so called leaders are individuals who have taken the credit of other people’s accomplishments in their own name. On the other hand, people like Nelson Mandela, Morgan Freeman, and John Kennedy have all displayed accomplishments that can rightfully be called their own. Being dedicated, hard-working, a listener, determined, and able to set realistic goals are a few qualities that turn a person into a leader and a leader into somebody the world will never forget. Kennedy. This world changer once stated, “We choose to go to the moon, we choose to go to the moon on this decade and do other things not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills” (Swyers). When Kennedy would choose a goal, he would choose it because he knew that it would push Americas limits just enough so that it could get accomplished with some work and effort put into it. “…with his passion for the ability to do things well, Kennedy had his dreams and realized them” wrote Marchie. A quality that Kennedy was very good at was knowing what the people of America wanted. Kennedy would take the ideas of people and mix them with his to create a plan that would please everybody an example of this is the Civil Rights Act. “By listening to the nation… [Kennedy] took action and was instrumental in making the Civil Rights Movement a reality” said Benison. With people all over the United States standing up for what they believed was right and Kennedy taking those actions into consideration, the Civil Rights Act would have ever happened. “JFK and MLK shared an era and a cause…” People like Martin Luther King made it clear to Kennedy that race should not even come between people in America.
