Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines personality as “the complex of characteristics that distinguishes an individual or a nation or group; especially the totality of an individual 's behavioral and emotional characteristics” (Merriam-webster, n.d.). Additionally, personality is what makes each person unique; however, there are common character traits that are shared by the human race. The Myers-Brigg Personality Indicator Test focuses on these shared behaviors and can diagnose a person’s personality with amazing accuracy. As stated by Isabel Briggs Myers, “Whatever the circumstances of your life, the understanding of type can make your perceptions clearer, your judgments sounder, and your life closer to your heart’s desire” (Myers & Briggs, n.d.).
