As I slowly opened my eyes to the industrialised sound of my alarm clock, I sat up, looking out the window. It was a good sight to wake up to; a warm orange sky, with the sun rising in the horizon. I thought to myself ‘Today seems a good day.’

I walked into the kitchen of my apartment, and popped the kettle on to make some morning tea. As the kettle was beginning to heat up, I looked out the window again, amazed by the beautiful morning view, compared to all the gray sky and rain that England normally offers. I turned my head slightly, looking at the light shining on another apartment building. I looked a little closer at one of the windows, and saw something rather odd. It seemed like a silhouette of a man staring directly at me with a pair of binoculars. It seemed out of place, so I decided to ignore it, thinking ‘I must just be seeing things. Leaving the apartment, the streets were still a bit cold considering the nice weather. I went along my normal route. As I was walking, I began to daydream about the office, on how some of the machines being used there were a bit out of date, and that things could be better if they were upgraded. Further down the road, I turned right, passing a small family owned corner shop. Just as I had walked around the turn however, I heard a small ping of metal behind me.
