Welcome to the twenty first century; where devices that can practically do anything and everything for you, is in the palm of your hand:but is that a good thing? Smart phones and other electronics have a substantial negative impact on modern day lives. Social media such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are rapidly causing human life to deteriorate. Although you may not see it, technology is literally taking over our lives. Open your eyes, understand that it is pulling us away from our families, taking away opportunities to meet new people and learn new things. Celebrities, politicians, actors, and musicians are continually in conflict because of the way the media makes them feel; We as a whole are following in their footsteps and that is not okay. Young girls are being kidnapped and rape, sent into human trafficking because of their Twitter accounts. We are wasting our lives away on technology, our health is even beginning to decline because of it. Studies show that 87% of young people between the ages of 16-23 suffer from chronic back and shoulder pain, due to the way they hold and position themselves for hours on end with a device in hand. The use of a device can cause lack of development in children and adolescents; where their muscles retract, causing severe pain and swelling. Physical limitations are starting to occur commonly through the eyes because of the high definition quality of the screens on phones, computers, and televisions. Some people are now permanently blind because of the pressure it puts on the pupils. In a recent experiment, conducted by the dean of science at Harvard, high frequency waves are sent to cellular phones at all times. The signals are strong enough to duplicate cells, causing cancer; especially if the phone is kept in a certain place at most times, like
