There have been numerous superheroes throughout the course of comic book and movie history. Many great names have come and gone: Superman, Iron Man, Spiderman. The list could go on indefinitely. However, there is one superhero that is, without question, the greatest of all time. Some may know him as Bruce Wayne, but Batman is by far the most superior superhero of our time. Several reasons that contribute to this are: his intense and thorough scientifically based detective skills, his intelligence and academic prowess, and he is expertly trained to handle any physical altercation.

Batman: And what if we ever used it for some other purpose [stands up] If you people can't see the potential danger of an out of control Justice League. I don't need to wait for a vote I don't belong here. [gets up leaves and walks away]

Superman: With all that talk about unchecked power, you are so arrogant that you didn't bother to come up with a plan to stop yourself?

Batman: [after a pause] I do have a plan! It's called the Justice League.” (Montgomery, 2012)

These two examples are probably the best examples of Batman truly showing how powerful he can be as mere mortal in a world of “gods”.

Batman is a supremely trained fighter of crime and defender of justice. With his high level understanding of ethics he is able to protect the world with the justice league, without worrying about the league becoming corrupt. With his countless master’s degrees he is able to contribute a great deal of insight to the leagues mission. To balance out his aptitude for academia, his training as a martial artist is a perfect complement. He is able to physically stop crime as well as use his superior wisdom to help prevent it.
