The use of mobile technolgy is a continued modification in business communication. Being that it is mobile, information can be readily available to the employees when needed. With this concept, it keeps everyone constantly connected and increases the correspondance between colleagues. Mobile devices used for business can also create quicker responses which means faster information, therefore, better productivity. Communcation channels are evolving in the business setting as well in a variety of ways. Some companies may prefer text messages, emails, instant messaging or a phone call. And within transparency, we will include ethical business communicating. Although they are three very differnt ideas, they all play a role to each other in regard to communicatcations made within a business. The demand for transparency is on the rise. Is your company ready? The concept of business transparency is not old news but social media strategies have an influence on a company’s outlook regarding how truthful they are when communicating to consumers, or society in general. Social media and ethical communication used together can produce a copious number of results, both negative and positive. With the common usage of jargon, idioms or slang in the current technology word, incorrect grammar which might make any message misunderstood, leaves room for communicative incompetence. This includes words or phrases used in announcements to staff or the public that should be honest and ethical as the message could get misinterpreted as something else. Therefore, it could portray the company as dishonest….. and there goes your reputation. This could be a significant loss thus being honest is essential when involving your business. But who doesn’t want to be authentic and considerate, right? Being open and using ethical communication can create a positive outcome within any situation. Furthermore, the act alone is rewarding! Now, let’s consider the idea of the need for clarity in social media being a requirement. Which, unfortunately, it isn’t but should be. Nevertheless, if a false statement is made, information can be found in an unlimited amount of areas on the internet which can easily disprove a claim if it were untrue. Nevertheless, transparency can be a negative in the realm of revealing unwanted employee information online that is readily available to hackers or professional scam artists.
