Similarities Between George Washington & Ulysses:
The Battle Of Trenton
Summary of The Battle of Trenton:
1.During the battle of Trenton German Colonel Johann Rall(fought for the British) had 1,400 men under his leadership;his men(Hessians) were exhausted and unprepared for anything that would come their way.
2. But George Washington had an army of 2,400 men who he divided into three groups but left behind 500 men to keep the campfires going so the British thought they hadn’t moved),1,900 men under Colonel John Cadwalader and 700 men under General James Ewing’s command
3.Washington crossed the icy rivers in boats with cannons and headed towards Trenton, while both men Colonel Cadwalader and General Ewing weren’t able to carry out their parts in the plan leaving Washington alone to fight.
4.When Washington faced Colonel Rall he tried to establish a defensive perimeter but failed because he got shot while on his horse which ended with a fatal wound leaving his men alone.
5.At the end of the battle 22 men were killed, 92 wounded, 918 captured and 400 escaped; for the Americans two frozen to death and five wounded.

Washington left men behind on the camping grounds while he moved along to Trenton. Ulysses sent his men out to sea while he stayed behind inside a wooden horse with his other men. When George Washington attacks his enemy Colonel Johann Rall, the Colonel tries to defend his men resulting in him getting shot and dying. He left his men alone who were unprepared and tried to do what they had been taught to do while in battle but it was all for no use. Inside the horse Ulysses waited until night when everybody was asleep; he got out with his warriors and attacked killing the Trojan sentries and enslaved the children and
