The purpose of the Self- Interview assessment is to measure an individual’s personality by having the individual answer questions about themselves through the S-data approach and in a qualitative methodological way. The reliability, validity, and generalizability of the assessment are analyzed individually to see how effective they are. The assessment provides results of one’s personality and a personal reflection on their goals, strengths, weaknesses, and life overall. The findings on the assessment itself concluded a high degree of reliability, validity, and generalizability. This was due to the fact that this assessment is a Self-Interview test. Therefore, I could do this same assessment a day or a week from now, but the consistency of my personal answers will be the same or extremely similar every time. The Self- interview intended to measure personality by asking questions that allowed me to describe myself. The questions asked overall measured what the assessment intended to measure. Therefore, the construct validity in this assessment appeared to be highly accurate. This was evaluated by examining the questions in the assessments, such as, “How would you describe your leadership style?" and “What drives you in your personal life?” The degree to which this assessment can be applied to others of a different age, race, and/or gender is generalized highly as well. The structure of this assessment allows other people in other situations to describe themselves like I did. The personal findings of my specific Self- Interview assessment may be generalized to others to a certain extent. This would be due to my age, race, gender, and environmental factors. By answering questions such as, “Where do you see yourself five year from now?” and “How would you described yourself?” I have concluded a good sense of reassurance in my desired profession and my self-esteem. Also, by answering questions like, “When have you been most satisfied in your life?” and “What types of hobbies do you enjoy?” I have concluded a sense of relief emotionally. This was due to the recognition of the unconditional love I know my family will have for me, regardless of my failures or successes. As well as, the reminder of those hobbies that help me stay socialized, healthy, and avoiding high stress. Finally, by answering questions like, “Who is your role model, and why?” and “What drives you in your professional life?” I have received a breath of fresh air filled with motivation that sometimes seems to want to stay
