Revolutionary period started at 1765, and ended at 1815. Revolutionary period is between colonial period, and romanticism. During the French and Indian war to protect the America, the British had triumph in this war. However, Britain fall into lots of debt. They need to gain money through their colonies, so they began to force the taxes to America. For examples, British required through ‘Stamp Act’, and ‘Tea Act.’ Because of these too many taxes, American started to resist to British to use the ‘Boston Tea Party’, and “No taxation without representation.” British react with the violent way, which is 'Boston Massacre'. Because of their efforts to find their liberty, the United State existed. The revolutionary period is important, because this period made United State of America. If they were not revolution for their freedom, the American colonists might still pay the taxes to Britain. Also, the Americans were not parts of the Britain country. During the revolutionary period, many authors were revolutionists. They wrote short story, novel, essay, and poetry about the battles, and heroes at that times. Thomas Paine's 'Common sense(1776)', and 'The American crisis(1776~1783)', St. Jean De Crevecoeur's 'Letters from an American farmer(1782)' were the examples of famous literary work during the revolutionary period. The revolutionary period's writing skills were rhetorical questions, restatement, reputation, and parallelism. The revolutionary period was important in American literature, because many famous authors wrote documents about the America’s independent. Also, this period produced political documents in this period. The important place in revolutionary period is federal hall in New York city, because the first congress is located in the federal hall. They fight for their liberty in that congress, and finally they became a independent country. In revolutionary period, there were lots of famous literary writers.
