Red Mountain State is a public institution that was founded in 1910. We have a total undergraduate enrollment of 20,963 which is made up of 60% female and 40% male. The setting of Red Mountain State is a lush, urban town that is 936 acres made up of several trees, fountains, open fields for activities, etc. located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We have several clubs which include but are not limited to Chill, Quill and Sword, Quidditch, Tree Huggers Unite, Concert Club, Fight Club, Rock-Paper-Scissors Club, Wine Tasting Club, Humans vs. Zombies, Campus People Watchers, etc. In addition to our clubs we offer 16 D1 sports. Sports at Red Mountain State are very popular. 70% of our students play at least one sport and a good amount go on to play professionally. Our top sports are football, basketball, baseball, track, soccer, sand volleyball, lacrosse, rugby, and crew. 12 out of the 16 sports went to the NCAA championship for the sport and division. 8 ended up winning. “I brought you guys here for better”. These are the words my mother told me many times as a boy and again not long ago. My mother has always pushed me in my education, and I finally realized that my junior year of high school. My grades in everything were outstanding this year, but I was still missing out on something. I was still not very involved in school. One day an individual from the American Legion came to our school to talk to all the juniors. He told us about an event that happens every year and in every state. It was a prestigious event to be accepted to. Having no real involvement in anything, I did not think for a second that I would be accepted, but, regardless, I applied, and two months later I received a call from that same man who told me I had been accepted. I was a big reluctant and indecisive about going because, aside from the fun and games, there was government learning and marching involved. I decided to go, and will never regret that decision. The experience there changed my views in so many ways. I met so many new people, greatly strengthened my skills in leadership, and I realized I had the potential to not only dream about my goals, but to live them as well.
Andrew Largeman's (Zack Braff) journey throughout "Garden State" seems to be a testament on the meaning of liberation. Going from his struggling acting life in Los Angeles to his hometown in New Jersey, where he witnesses his mother's funeral, Andrew is in the mist of confronting difficult issues. One of the biggest issues is coming to terms with his psychologist father (Ian Holm), whom he has distanced himself from for many years because he has put him on powerful antidepressants for most of his life. The reason for this I will not reveal but it has caused Andrew to feel as if his father has controlled his life in a way.
This tournament, apart from entertaining students and other fans, highlights what stuff different colleges are made of. This comes at a critical time when high school seniors are considering what colleges to attend once they graduate. Thus, it is not surprising that this package of sporting events brings glad tidings to the people as it helps usher-in the beautiful spring season. However, a critical evaluation of the different teams and schools reveal the series of events -both good and not so good- that occur as they prepare for this all-important tournament.
Loyalty is one of the ethics that is instilled in a person at a young age. Loyalty can range from loyalty to a family member, friend, teammate, ect. In Larry Watson's, Montana 1948, the summer of 1948 tests the loyalty of each character and is told through the eyes of a young boy, David. The picture was clear to David when Marie was Murdered. Through this tragic event David was able to read each family member determining whether they were loyal or whether they would betray.
Katori Hall's play, The Mountaintop, illustrates the internal conflicts of Martin Luther King Jr. as he is forced to question his spirituality and legacy when coming face to face with his guardian angel. Bleeding Kansas The Compromise of 1850 brought relative calm to the nation. Though most blacks and abolitionists strongly opposed the Compromise, the majority of Americans embraced it, believing that it offered a final, workable solution to the slavery question. Most importantly, it saved the Union from the terrible split that many had feared. People were all too ready to leave the slavery controversy behind and move on.
Devastation was a feeling many Americans became accustomed to during the outbreak of the Civil war, but this devastation eventually evolved to be the rebirth of the United States. The numbers of casualties were tremendous, and families were torn from it, just as the nation was. There were social, economic, and political complexities that made the war seem even more impossible to resolve. Many filmmakers have tried to realistically capture these complexities in order to reveal the damaging war that preserved the United States. The accuracies can be analyzed in any film with comparisons to the film’s events, and actual events that occurred in the Civil war. One film that achieves this is Cold Mountain, which was released in 2003. It was produced by Iain Smith, and directed by Anthony Minghella, with stars in leading roles such as, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger. The film Cold Mountain does an acceptable job of portraying the Civil war through the role of the home guard, the roles of women, and the apparel, with few errors.
Michigan is the only state in the union composed to two separated peninsulas. At the closest point, the upper and lower peninsulas are a mere five miles apart. In the early twentieth century, the only way to make the trip across the five miles of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron was to take a boat ride from one side to the other. As businesses expanded and industry grew, the demand to cross the lakes for travel and commerce purposes grew. The only way to cross the lake was by means of a ferry service, which was unable to keep up with consumer demand. Michigan residents were unable to get convenient and frequent transport between the peninsulas. They needed a consistent, fast, and safe way to travel freely from the mainland to the upper-peninsula. In response, the construction of a five-mile-long suspension bridge to link the peninsulas was set into action. The construction of the Mackinac Bridge was greatly significant to the national economy, the field of engineering, the efficiency of travel, and the historic symbolism of the state of Michigan.

Oklahoma is the 20th most expanded state and also the 28th most populous out of the total 50 states in the United States. Residents living in Oklahoma are often referred to as “Oklahomans” or “okies”. A major part of Oklahoma is its capital city Oklahoma City, which is where I was born and raised. Much of the western land of Oklahoma was part of the "unassigned land" including present day Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City is Oklahoma’s largest city in the state. Oklahoma has a big population and is currently 29th among United States cities in population. A 2012 census shows the population count of Oklahoma City is 599,199 residents. Oklahoma City is ranked as the 8th largest city in the United States by its land area. Oklahoma City is also the second-largest city in the United States by land area whose government is not stabilized. Sports are an easy activity to participate in, which every passionate high school student hopes to get a college scholarship for. The University of Michigan scouts for well-rounded students to enroll within their school who participate in activities in and out of school. It would not matter if a high school student was on a travel soccer team, but was not on the varsity team at their high school.
