Solution: Controlled redundancy: Ensuring all the relavent data collected in one place and then collected into single database without any duplicates is called controlled redundancy.
For example take an organization which has two groups. The relavent data which is present in two groups must combined into a single database without any duplicates.
DBMS ensures the controlled redundancy over the data as the views of different users are combined during design phase.
Uncontrolled redundancy: If the data has redundancy
Tesco is a UK based Supermarket Company which was founded in 1919 by Jack Cohen, since then it has grown to become a multinational company which specialises in a lot more than just groceries, this has improved the overall profit of the company. The overall employees recorded at the end of 2015 was 476,000+, this shows that is a source of employment for nearly half a million people in the UK. The supermarkets are no longer just in the UK they also have shops based in Malaysia, India and Poland, this presents that they are increasing the size of business to a multinational company and is also a good source of jobs for people in poorer countries. In the world over 75million people travels

The anti-social behaviour act was made in 2003. The reason for why this was made was to make the rules of anti-social behaviour better and work more efficient also to do the same with the fixed penalty notices. The rules of this act is no one that is under the age of 16 is allowed to buy spray paint due to graffiti on private properties, no group of teenagers are allowed to do anything wrong to the public and also no public drunkenness which can lead to people disturbing the peace. An example for this could be the ASBO’s.
Problem Statment:You have to figure out how many total various sized squares are in an 8 by 8 checkerboard. You also have to see if there is a pattern to help find the number of different sized squares in any size checkerboard.Process: You have to figure out how many total different sized squares you can make with a 8x8 checkerboard. I say that there would be 204 possible different size squares in an 8x8 checkerboard. I got that as my answer because if you mutiply the number of small checker boards inside the 8x8 and add them together, you get 204. You would do this math because if you find all of the possible outcomes in the 8x8, you would have to find the outcome for a 7x7, 6x6, 5x5, 3x3, and 2x2 and add the products of

Approximately four babies are born every second of the day in the world, that means that means that there are roughly 345,600 people that have the exact same birthday, including the same birth year. That makes you wonder, what the chances are that a pair of people in a room have the same birthday. With the application of the birthday paradox, also known as the birthday problem, these “chances” can be approximated.
Ensure relevant laws and policies provide support for shelters and related services. When people think of scientists, creativity is not always the first thing that comes to mind. Scientists are viewed as quite the opposite in fact, relying on cold, hard facts, rather than having the mind to create a colorful, bright work of art. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Scientists employ a great degree of creativity when drawing diagrams of observations, thinking of new ideas, and interpreting data in unique ways. Of course, all of the above is limited by the facts, for example you can’t just draw three extra legs on an animal because you want to be creative. However not all scientist’s drawings are going to look exactly alike because everybody is a different person. No two scientific papers are going to be the exact same either, in fact they could in fact be near complete opposites, depending on how one scientist

One of the biggest problems that affect everyone is data aggregation. The more the technology develop, the powerful and dangerous it gets. Today there are many companies that aggregate a lot of information about us. Those companies gathering our data from different sources, which create a detailed record about us. Since all services have been computerized whether it is handled directly or indirectly through computers, there is no way to hide your information. We used computers, because they are faster, better, and accurate more that any human being. It solved many problems; however, it created new ones. Data does not means anything if it stands alone, because it is only recoded facts and figure, yet when it organized and sorted, it become information. These transformed information. Data aggregation raises many questions such as, who is benefiting from data aggregation? What is the impact on us (the users)? In this paper I will discuses data aggregation and the ethics and legal issues that affect us.
A database management system, or DBMS, gives the user access to their data and helps them transform the data into information. Such database management systems include dBase, Paradox, IMS, and Oracle. These systems allow users to create, update, and extract information from their databases. Compared to a manual filing system, the biggest advantages to a computerized database system are speed, accuracy, and accessibility.
Cooperative IS. According to Massimo Mecella et al. “is a large scale information system that interconnects various systems of different and autonomous organizations, sharing common objectives” [30]. The main problems with these information systems are the many copies of the same objects (duplicate copies) and the possibility of poor data quality from one source to spread through the cooperative systems. Thus it is very important for the individual information systems to be trusted.
A data warehouse comprised of disparate data sources enables the “single version of truth” through shared data repositories and standards and also provides access to the data that will expand frequency and depth of data analysis. Due to these reasons, data warehouse is the foundation for business intelligence.
In our world, people rely heavily on the power of technology every day. Kids are learning how to operate an iPad before they can even say their first word. School assignments have become virtual, making it possible to do anywhere in the world. We can receive information from across the world in less than a second with the touch of a button. Technology is a big part of our lives, and without it life just becomes a lot harder. Just like our phones have such an importance to us in our daily lives, database management systems are the same for businesses. Without this important software, it would be almost impossible for companies to complete simple daily tasks with such ease.
