Effective communication is a form of communication quickly and easily understood although some strategies of this can easily be forgot in stressful situations, when applied effective communication can have benefits in forming a positive relationships. Having a positive relationship effects everyone, with children and young people it enables there ability to take part in events and lessons and take something positive from it. It can also offer trust and security which makes communication between people easier. With adults it sets a role model for children and young people and also makes sharing information easier. In turn this creates trust between you and the student. Being direct and positive helps those involved to understand what is going on or what task there being asked to complete, an example of this is explaining what to do in a fire drill to a child that may begin to feel anxious. Having respect for the person you communicate with for example let them finish speaking before you respond, getting on the same physical level by sitting down if there sat, talking to people with different cultures from your own, without telling a child or young person your showing pupils around you how to behave and also setting boundaries. All of these factors of effective communication promotes a positive outcome which in turn creates a positive relationship for you and that person, and it is very important to do this so this so the person your communicating with feels happy, secure, trusted and trusting, confident and valued as this will help them thrive and achieve, it will improve there learning, reduce conflict and make learning a positive experience which will help them
