I am running for president because I want to inspire people to make good choices and to help others with daily school struggles. Two character traits that I have that would make me be a great president is that I am a good listener and I take concerns into action. I can use both character traits to listen to what my fellow classmates have to say about their concerns and take action. I plan to make longer lunches on Friday’s, same locker schedule as the morning, longer locker pass times, create online textbooks, be able to wear no uniform, and to have less homework. As a president I will solve these five problems that face my fellow Spanish River Christian School classmates by putting all my effort into solving these problems we face.
Calvin Coolidge was the 30th president during 1923- 1929. He was born on July 4, 1872. His mother died when he was about 12 years old. After his mom's death, the next year he entered Black River Academy and graduated in 1891. He married Grace Anna Goodhue In 1905. Her personality was much different from Calvin's. She was outgoing and talkative while on the otherside Calvin was very shut down just to himself kind of person, known as “ Silent Cal”. Later on the couple had two sons John and Calvin Jr. Calvin became famous during the Boston police strike of 1919. In 1920 he won the election for governor by a record vote. It was 2:30 am on August 3 when Calvin was visiting his family in Vermont when all of a sudden Calvin received a message that

The two characters Tom Reagan from Miller’s Crossing and Jack Diamond from Legs shares similar traits and characteristics. They both had an item that they carried or wore that showed what was going on in the character’s mind. It could tell what was on their mind, but also what was about to happen. There were times the outcome of events was determined, because the item was near the characters, and their minds.
Alexander Hamilton was disliked by many people but, he is now popular because of a hit Broadway show created by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Hamilton was born on January 11, 1755 or 1757 in Charleston, Nevis in the British West Indies. He was abandoned by his father which made him an orphan at the age of 13. Hamilton started attending school in Elizabethtown, New Jersey but, plans changed, and he entered Kings College. At the age of 17 he was already interested in government. Later, in 1776 he was introduced to George Washington. He became Washington’s advisor not long after that. Some main events that changed Hamilton’s life were his family, his accomplishments, and George Washington.
A presidential leader fills many roles and his character and life experiences make great decisions for our Country. As a legislative leader, he is responsible for working with Congress to pass law and help meet the needs of the people. As Commander and Chief, he is head of the armed forces. And as a world leader, he is expected to work with foreign leaders and establish strengthened relationship. For this assignment, I invented a Presidential Candidate named James Peterson, who has the characteristics I believe would make an excellent president.
Ronald Reagan is arguably one of the most influential men in American history. Reagan’s childhood, and more specifically his relationship with his father pushed him to develop the strong religious faith, was instrumental in forming him into the man he was. The middle part of Reagan’s life was riddled with successes that more than likely gave him the confidence to pursue some of his greater goals later in life. Reagan’s career before politics made him well known face in many American households, which helped transition him into a well-liked political figurehead. Lastly Reagan’s time as president was a time of peace and prosperity for the American people. Reagan had many defining experiences that shaped him into the public figure, and president
My school, Community School of Davidson has some things that would surpass my standards if I were class president. I would choose to change our homecoming, a time to celebrate our school. I believe that we should have a more traditional homecoming. This would consist of having the Homecoming football game on a Friday night. Then on that saturday we would have someone to go to the formal with, our date. This is what most schools do and I just think that it would be a lot of fun to get dressed up and go with your date to homecoming. Another thing that I would choose to change if I was running for class president is that I would choose to remove jumpstart, a time to be active during the day. I do like having the extra ten minutes to goof around

There were several other students who wanted to run for president, but none of had quite the propositions that I wanted to feed into the community. I actually wanted to create awareness of our environment and go into the elementary schools and encourage students to pursue careers in STEM. I am currently president of the society, and I am so grateful to have the ability to make difference in the society. The society will soon be hosting an Oxfam hunger dinner to inform the community of what it's like to eat in a developing country, and how lucky we are to be living in America and have the abundance of food that we have, unlike other countries. This hunger dinner will be my legacy to the society because no president before has conducted such an event that will educate our community and bring our school together. Hosting this event means a lot to me because as a woman, I am aware of how rare it is for me to take interest in something that relates to the STEM field. Despite the odds, I still stand firm in wanting to make a difference in my school before I

It is an honor to be running for a seat in the Santa Ana Unified School District School Board. For our students and our community, I think it is important to improve education and make the students’ environment extremely secure and safe. We must nurture them with care because the youth will be the future. It is our duty to ensure that we guide our students to the right path.
Leaders are individuals who engage in doing right things and inspire others to follow their footsteps.
