Those who oppose immigrants tend to over extentuate the degree in which they are a threat to the rule of law.. Americans who don't have a fear towards immigrants in a life threading aspect do fear the competition for jobs when hard working immigrants come to America. I mean it is only natural that people fear the loss of a job over more competition, but In reality when the market is flooded with more workers new business often are made and it is often immigrants who start them. If the expansion of businesses keeps up with the immigration rate there is no reason for native born wages to fall. In some Through the extensive research of empirical evidence they came to the conclusion that "there is little evidence that immigration significantly affects the overall employment levels of native-born workers. The studies with the best evidence, which use random influxes of immigrants to measure their impact on the working class and the highly skilled workers. An example is the Mariel Boatlift of 1980 which states that there Is no negative influence of low skilled immigrants on native-born wages. An other study shows a small negative effect of the U.S were to increase its labor force by 7.5 percent with low skilled workers which will lead to the falling of native born wages of high school drop puts from 0.75 to 12.75 percent. It isn't a huge influence, but it does have a backlash on the most economically vulnerable so many believe that we should limit the amount of low skilled workers.
