A current issue in society today is Chinas drastic air pollution.Air pollution is horrible, China’s super-speed growth has produced super-high levels of pollution. The air pollution in China has been going on for two decades. The Smog initially took a huge toll on the citizens of China and society. Air pollution is a very horrible situation in China , so horrible that it has even been effecting other countries besides themselves. The smog has even lead to health issues that have caused death, and other major health effects. China’s economic development was unrestrained but there are organizations set up to help the smog and support their issue. Air pollution in China is horrendous, out of control, and even dangerous for human life ; it can be controlled but its going to cost as much as it has caused to build up.

China’s air pollution started two decades ago, which was led by the economic growth. They build factories, an increase in car ownership , and the overwhelming reliance on coal (Wagstaff) .China’s economic growth of factories and other harmful toxics has also even hurt the atmosphere. Throughout the decades China tried to rush the advancement of their economic growth, which rapidly expanded to where the air pollution was not controllable. This was just the beginning of China’s awful air pollution there is still more to come for today’s number of issues.

Today China’s smog has only gotten worse since the last two decades when it started, it’s smog has risen severely. The air pollution contributed up to 12% to 24% of daily sulfate concentrations (Kaiman). The smog is extremely egregious, it has made many cities in china unbearable and unhealthy to live in.
