Students in a doctor of physical therapist degree should be held in a higher standard than most other students. In the classroom, the professionalism of the student should mirror how he orshe will be once they get into their professional field as a physical therapist. There are two main key factors of being professional: respect and organization. Students need to treat their fellow classmates and their teachers with the same kind of respect as they would with their patients. This means that he or she would be listening and paying attention when someone is talking. Paying attention helps the student not miss any important detail that could be a help in rehabilitation. Listening can go a long ways making a patient and/or classmate feel more comfortable.
