Students in a doctor of physical therapist degree should be held in a higher standard than most other students. In the classroom, the professionalism of the student should mirror how he orshe will be once they get into their professional field as a physical therapist. There are two main key factors of being professional: respect and organization. Students need to treat their fellow classmates and their teachers with the same kind of respect as they would with their patients. This means that he or she would be listening and paying attention when someone is talking. Paying attention helps the student not miss any important detail that could be a help in rehabilitation. Listening can go a long ways making a patient and/or classmate feel more comfortable.

A year and three months ago, I was at football practice. I was on the defensive line. I tripped up the running back, but the running back landed on my left ankle. The result was a fracture on my left tibia. I played on my injury for two weeks. At that moment, I was not able to play football for the rest of the year. During this summer, I injured my back. I clicked on them, and the article discussed what a physical therapist does. When I was halfway down the article, it stated that a physical therapist helps people with injuries like mine. After researching, I decided to be a physical therapist.
My field of interest once I graduate from WCU is physical therapy. This care specialty uses biomechanics, manual and exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and various other therapy techniques to remediate injuries and impairments, as well as promote mobility. They must be flexible and adapt plans of care to meet the needs of each patient.” Lastly, time management skills, PT’s treat a lot of patients each day in order to give each patient the proper time he/or she needs and get other task done throughout the day you need great time management skills(“Summary”).
The medical field is expanding ever so rapidly in today’s society. In the field of Physical Therapy one needs to have the understanding of how the human body works and the injuries one body could sustain. I have chosen a career to help others to battle back from life-changing injuries or surgeries. I will take the first step of joining the medical field by obtaining a physical therapist associates degree. I will become a Physical Therapist Assistant.

These treatments are used to help decrease pain and increase movement and function. Therapeutic exercises instructions will help restore strength, movement, balance, or skill as a guide towards full functional recovery. Physical therapy provides "hands on techniques" like massage or joint mobilizations skills to restore joint motion or increase soft tissue flexibility. They will focus on basic skills such as getting out of bed, walking safely with crutches or a walker, moving specific joints and muscles of the body. Physical therapists treatment includes patient education to teach them how to deal with a current problem and how to prevent the problem in the future. Such documentation is used to track the patient's progress, and identify areas requiring more or less attention. They encourage patients to use their own muscles. Their main goal is to improve how an individual functions at work and home.
