Studies have proven that many people don’t exercise because they are simply not educated to the benefits of physical activity. Exercise doesn’t just improve fitness level, it is also shown to improve mental and emotional health. Getting the recommended physical activity each week, prevents chronic diseases, helps one live longer, reduces stress, improves cognitive function and improves mood.

But at what point do you really need to go for that dreaded run? Physical inactivity has shown increased risk in premature death, as well as increased risk in a number of different diseases. They also stated that every adult should do at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise everyday if possible. They also state that regular physical activity will improve a person’s mental health as it will increase self esteem and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
