POST 1 Stop it with the mindset that you have to DIET to lose weight Restrictive doesn’t work! It’s like my dad telling me to quit seeing an older guy so what do I do……. You got it! I sneak around and did it anyway! There is something about telling ourselves that we can’t have something! WE DO JUST THE OPPOSITE! Every stinking diet I have tried, I always had high hopes of adding major muscle (six pack), lose fat and yes get skinny! It never failed instead i got major irritation, inconvenience, hunger (major hunger like hangry) and even misery… all this to find I still look the same - and even feel worse - than when I started! Most of us have a hard time accepting that diets don’t work - ESPECIALLY since the media and those selling those restrictive …show more content…

These restrictive or yo-yo diets have lowered rest metabolic rate by 20%. So basically say you ate 1800 calories per day to maintain weight after these diets you would drop to 1440 calories. Sounds nice up front, right? Guess what… you’re not going to eat 1440 you’re going to eat 1800 and you will put those pounds back on plus!! What was healthy hormone levels are no more: If you restrict how many calories or carbs you eat, you can mess with the hormone balance we need to control our appetite, burn fat, and build muscle. And on the opposite end it can increase cortisol - which equals irritability, tension and just plain mad...LOL! I’m not done it can also boost cravings, fat storage, and hunger. Let’s talk about water weight: most will lose 5-10 % of body weight pretty quick on a restrictive diet. But…. notice I said but…. Majority of inital weight loss is water, not fat, according to research, which is released from cells as you body digs into them for energy. When I tired…… o wait all of them I lost water weight right up front… but that was it! I had plateaued after that and you can guess what happened after
