The “Media” is a form of communication channel through which entertainment, news, education, etc are being transferred. The Media tells us about the world, particularly those aspects thereof with which we don’t have direct experience. Media could be in different broadcasting medium such as newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, telephone, fax, etc. In today’s wider world, we have twitter, blogs, Facebook, Tumblr, and more. These are major internet connections between government and citizens. These are count as new media which is very effective in different ways than traditional one. Such as, new media deliver information faster, it includes many voices and formats than the traditional one, and the new media also permits the public to be much more active. For example, today you can comment on face book post more easily than you could respond to a record in 1960’s or TV commercials in 1990s. Media technology changes quickly, and each change remakes the connections between citizens and their leaders or government. The media affects the news we get, the arguments we hear. Our political system is manipulated by the media because media plays big role in creating belief of voters and performances. Media is bias in the country with more freedom of the media than the country with less the media freedom. The effects of the media bias depend on how the audience process the information broadcast by media. Voters value more about political news because they use this information when voting. But, cost buying and reading newspaper seems unlikely to justify the benefit of choice made in the election it affecting voting, at least the case of fox news channel expansion.
