Persuasive Essay About Marijuana

Marijuana, also known as cannabis, weed, dank or pot, has been around for years.

It was never really an issue until the late 1990's to the early 2000's. It's been said that Marijuana has been a good use for medical purposes. With the way people use it nowadays its hard to try to get it legalized because of the abuse it gets on the streets.

Government surveys indicate that senior high school students admit that getting marijuana is as easy as ordering burgers and fries at a local burger joint. This means that no matter what the law enforcement is doing, us teens are still going to get our hands on marijuana. From my experience with marijuana, it never harmed my body or made me get violent, nor did it cause me to have any "accidents" while "intoxicated" with the drug. Marijuana has so many beneficial opportunities that the world needs to understand. Of course its not simply going to be sold on the shelves like cigarettes and alcohol. But the federal government really needs to get their head out of there rear ends and really consider this awesome opportunity sitting right in front of them. The government should consider turning the cost earnings by legalizing marijuana and grab the earning opportunity from the drug users. Also, prisoners that are locked up for having marijuana on them or in their system are costing America about 1 billion dollars annually, and that money could've been used for educational purposes or medical learnings within our country. Legalizing marijuana could possibly be a better way to make the world a better place. Taking out marijuana from the illegal status would mean 7.7 billion dollars in total could be used for national development and other programs that would have a more long-term benefits for the...

From what we know, marijuana has been around for over 10,000 years. Located in Taiwan. However, even though this drug, or should I say crop, has been around for countless years, you won't find it in a history book. The people in Taiwan had figured out that not only could they use the hemp plant as a good food source, but they could also use it to make paper as well as fishing nets. So not only could hemp or marijuana benefit us in the medical era, it could benefit the facing industry and possibly the fisherman all over the country. People are so quick to judge this drug rather than give it a chance.
