One of histories biggest mass movements and certainly one of the most disastrous one was the Nazi Regime ruling Germany 1933 to 1945. The regime resulted in the in one of the most significant genocides of the 20th century with death of 6 million European Jews and the killing of non-Jewish minorities on the basis of disabilities, sexual orientation and nationality. However this regime with an ideology that results in discrimination and terror was enjoyed by the German public and met with obedience and approval. So the question presents itself of why there was such a great obedience by German the civil society and how could such a movement been created and spread. During their control the Nazis developed political method taking full advantage of the cult and also implementing a civil society using the tools of propaganda. All these techniques created a strong obedience; this essay will create an analysis of the Nazis political pathway and determine their use of techniques and political tools and their effectiveness. Furthermore it will draw a comparison to the personality cult practises used in the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Adolf Hitler was an Austrian born son of a custom bureau worker Alois Hitler and mother Klara, with incredible oratorical strength, which later in his political life spam would become his number one tool to gather the masses. In 1920, Hitler gained control in the German Workers Party but it wasn’t until the 1930s were Hitlers party became prominent. The reason for that was the poor economical situation Germany was in, following the demands of the agreements made in Versailles.
