Personal Narrative: My First Soccer Team

It all started with my first soccer team.I was in 5th grade when I first moved to Livonia, after living in Buffalo and was immediately encouraged to join the soccer team by some of my new friends. After signing up and having a few practices with my new team, our first game came along and all my new friends were on the field playing while I patiently waited on the sideline. At that time I didn’t really realize what it meant to not be playing or starting in a soccer game. But as that season and the next two passed with my new team, I discovered how much I wanted and needed to be on that field. Moving on to the winter of 8th grade to when I tried out for a premier soccer team. And I made the team and I was starting and playing a lot. The coach really liked me and saw a lot of potential in me and that made me feel great but it also made me feel relaxed for the next season of soccer which was not good. The next season of premier soccer I got a new coach and team and I was thrown back to square one… on the bench. All season I sat on the sideline just like 5th grade except this time I wasn't so patient. I would go home upset and angry after every game. And my dad and I would go out in the yard and practice all the time but it seemed like nothing was changing, for this year that is. As every season wwent by i was faced with more coaches to please and improvments to make, The next season of soccer started off not so great, I played a little but not as much as would hope so again I found myself doing extra practice so I could play more. But this time it payed off and I didnt just play a lot, I began to be a regular starter. Each season was a new coach, a new team and a new
