William Shakespeare was born in Stratford on Avon, England, in April of 1564 to Mary and John Shakespeare. He was the third child and the eldest son. Romeo, O, Romeo. Romeo and Juliet, a drama play by William Shakespeare, tells the tale of two star crossed lovers. In the city of Verona 1590, two love-stricken teenagers, are predestined to meet. They are forbidden to be with one another, for a feud by their progenitors has doomed them with a forever lasting hatred for one another. Defying those rules, the two decide to keep their love a secret, ending their lives in a way no one would have imagined.
“The course of true love never did run smooth” –William Shakespeare. Shakespeare truly proved this quote in his illustrious play called Romeo and Juliet. These two star-crossed lovers definitely did not have a smooth course to true love, as they experienced many hardships along the way that ultimately resulted in their downfall. Romeo and Juliet’s forbidden love unleashed a strain on their reputations, friendships, and their relationship with their families.
Romeo and Juliet is a romantic love story about a young lad named Romeo who has fallen in love with Lady Juliet, but is unable to marry her because of a long-lasting family feud.
