The career I chosed to learn about is a pediatrician. A pediatrician is someone who specializes in treating ailments and illnesses for children. They treat illnesses such as strep throat, pink eye, colds, chicken pox , etc. In addition, pediatricians help healthy stay well ; this can include administering immunizations, evaluating patients, growth and weight, and providing guidance for social, mental, and emotional health. Pediatricians might end up working for clinics or in private practice centers. Enable to become a pediatrician you need to do whatever it takes to get there. I am saying this because it’s not easy working your way up the ladder. Nothing is impossible , but all you have to do is put some effort into this. The things you need to get to the pathway to success are you must contain the following classes and must have passed them during high school. The following are Biology, Chemistry and physics. Every little kid has high expectations for what they want to be when they grow up. What kids do not understand is that there are many types of doctors, like an orthopedic surgeon, who works with feet, or an oral surgeon, who works with the mouth. My first experience with children was when I would babysit younger kids. Caring for them while they were sick brought a sense of joy nursing them back to health. After doing this for so long, I grew a passion for taking care of children as a profession. Another would be a higher beginning salary. Finally job security, because a pediatrician can always go into another medical field, or subspecialty in which they practice in. Now let’s go to the con. The downfall of specializing in pediatrics would be appeasing to the parent’s and avoiding lawsuits or malpractice. That’s added stress, since you know what is right for the patient, but parents feel like they know it all. When people think of a pediatric nurse practitioner, they normally think of a person who performs examinations, takes blood samples, and measures vital signs of children who are sick.
