I am going to write a commentary on assessment 1 part A written by Arya Rizal. She had written about some of her experiences regarding confidentiality. There she had discussed about the confidentiality of the patient with HIV/AIDS. It was a delicate case which was to be handled in an equipped way. I have chosen the topic “Confidentiality” for my assessment 1 part B to elaborate and discuss about the confidentiality of the patients whom we take care and their physical and psychological health are our responsible. The person who damages HIPAA arrangements are punished according to the degree of infringement (Mehnke 2010). Every last individual issues of the client and their past, present and future medical state are kept confidential with regard to their entitlement to secrecy (Erickson and Miller 2005). Confidentiality maintenance can cause moral difficulties or strife in the health profession in specific boundaries. So, it acts as the most testing errand for the nurses. It may be condition in which they need to choose either to maintain the secrecy or to reveal it. In specific conditions like issues related to savagery or mischief to anybody, the matter should be uncovered carefully and critically (Edwards 2010). The people who are not included in the treatment team should not get any information related to the client’s secrecy. Otherwise, it prompts improper divulgence of ensured wellbeing. If the nurse discloses confidentiality without the assent from the client, then she may be punished for her failure to maintain code of conduct (McGowan 2012).
