Public Agencies: NPS stands for the National Park Service. NPS works with thousands of partners that help on projects and programs in parks around the country. Park rangers are included with all the day to day operations that go on in parks like supporting natural resources of the parks and enforcing any rules and regulations the parks have. The salary for entry level park rangers ranges from about $27,705 to $36,021. The clients being served are parks and everything in them as well as the people in the parks. I don't really know of many particular skills that I have that would make me a great candidate for this job besides the fact that I love nature and love being outdoors. Animal care technicians help to monitor and maintain the health of animals that are brought to them. The salaries of one that works in this are ranges from $34,496 to $39,899 annually. The clients/participants being served here are animals. Skills that I have that fit the requirements of this job are my love of animals and wanting to make sure they're not only healthy, but also safe and taken care of. I think my ability to work either alone or with others is also another skill that would help me get the job done. In order to do this job, one needs to be able to handle animals, work independently as well as with a team, have basic computer skills, and also have either a high school diploma or GED. The school provides the means to hire student employees to referee these sports. The job title that I researched is intramural referee for campus recreation and their primary responsibility is to referee certain games that the university’s intramural sports system provides to students. Salary for this job is minimum wage. The participants being served by this job position are students of the institution. I personally love sports and it just so happens that I referee on campus for intramural sports here at BW, so I know that I have the skillset needed to fit the requirements for this job. I would do this job because I feel like I'm unbiased when it comes to refereeing and I know the rules of most of the sports I’m refereeing, so it makes refereeing all the more-easier for me to do. When looking for applicants for this position, organized sports experience is preferred, but it is no required in order to get the job. One must be dependable, punctual, and able to work without bias to do this job. I would want to have this job because I’m crazy for sports and I love being able to work with sports even if they’re ones that I don’t play.
