The creation of the computer and the Internet has significantly furthered and revolutionized Parks and Recreation Districts across the country. Parks and Recreation Management is a profession that has been able to prosper with the Internet and personal computers today. Recreation in the present day is becoming especially popular due to a general decrease in working hours because of the economy. With many people having more free time, more demands are put on the Parks and Recreation districts. Also with the many national, state, and private parks in the United States, it is crucial for the park systems to have a systematic approach to dealing with these new demands. The computer and Internet has become the answer to this problem.
National Parks have awed tourists and even locals for years. They provide an escape from the ordinary and relief from the everyday stress of society. National Parks provide insight into a simpler time where our ancestors were surrounded by the beauty of nature instead of the concrete jungles of modern day metropolitan areas. Few of these wonderful parks provide the same seclusion as Denali National Park in Alaska. It’s sights and sounds have fascinated many and will continue to provide a great escape from everyday life.

First, one must understand the concept of a nation park and wilderness. Yellowstone became the first national park. President Ulysses S. Grant designated Yellowstone, as a national park in 1872. The law establishing Yellowstone as the first National Park declared the area would be preserved "for the benefit and enjoyment of the people." All "timber, mineral deposits, natural curiosities, or wonders" would be kept "in their natural condition" (McNamara, 2014). The natural state of the park is a wilderness area. Although wilderness is often taken to mean a wild or untamed area people have held various perspectives of wilderness throughout history. Some of these historical perspectives of wilderness in the United States are: 1."The Puritan model encouraged an aggressive and even antagonistic attitude toward wilderness. The wilderness must be tamed” (Dejardins, page 154). Wilderness was, as an area to be feared but yet an area where one could escape from oppression. 2. “The Lockean model sees the wilderness as real estate, a commodity to be owned and used” (DesJardins, page 154). 3. “The romantic model views the wilderness as a symbol of innocence and purity” (DesJardins, page 155).

The job of a game warden is a complicated one, requiring many different duties and talents. The job can have many unexpected situations. Because the game warden could patrol rivers, lakes, coast lines, or desserts the situations change with the location. However, the main responsibility of a game warden is to enforce all the wildlife laws and all of the fishing, hunting, and boating federal and state laws. To perform their jobs, they will definitely be outside, and they are on the job at all hours and all season and in every type of weather. Game wardens also have different names such as conservation officers, wildlife officers, or sometimes wildlife troopers but they are still law enforcement officers, wildlife

National parks were seen as natural islands surrounded by bordering acitivites that had a significant impact on the ecosystems in the parks. One of the parks, that was most affected by surrounding activites was Redwood National Park. Loggers imposed an imminent treath to the parks’ trees by logging near the conserved area and consequently polluting the Redwood Creek. In 1978 Congrees authorized an expension of the Redwood National Park to include those surrounding areas. This action spiked controversy; many loggers became uneployed. Government acknowledged their lost and agreed to compensate them.

Your stamina is tested every single day, and you always rise to the challenge. I mean, You somehow manage to wake up with me at five in the morning and drop me off about six miles away, before continuing another thirty miles to get to work. You don't even need to be there so early, but you get a good, unpaid head start anyways. Not to mention the work that you do! The title of 'Park Ranger' is just a fancy way of saying 'janitor,' or so you've told me. You run all the odd jobs: Preparing for events, running tours, keeping the park spotless, and even actually running the events that you set up, how do you do it? I mean, I've noticed that you don't come home sometimes, just slaving away at your historically significant, yet surprisingly understaffed house, but even when you do, you once again prove your c...
