“To be a champion, I think you have to see the big picture. It's not about winning and losing; it's about every day hard work and about thriving on a challenge. It's about embracing the pain that you'll experience at the end of a race and not being afraid. I think people think too hard and get afraid of a certain challenge”. says Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders. The word challenge is a very powerful word, people fear challenge and will stay content with the same routines. While people avoid challenges, I want to make a change in my life. This year I will face the challenges around the corner and anything that gets in the way stopping me from being successful. A challenge is going to motivate me to do my best, each time i’m going to work harder to improve each time. My sophomore year my grades were not the best but my junior year I challenged myself to get better grades. By accomplishing this goal, it motivated me much more to get better grades. I took this challenge and I feel very successful. How can you set goals for yourself without challenging yourself? The answer to that is easy, you simply can’t. I believe that challenging myself can lead to many new things and opportunities. For example, I stepped up to the challenge of taking on more hours at my work and working harder each and every day.
