Considering the Earth is over 70% ocean water and 97% of the Earth’s water can be found in the ocean, more action should be done to take care of what happens to the ocean water. The act of restoring the ocean can help save billions of people from diseases and hunger along with saving the marine life in the process. The impact that humans have on marine life transforms the conditions of the ocean dramatically, adding socio-ecological problems to arise. Different marine biologists asses different marine life and try their best to restore what becomes an issue. Along with human contact, temperature plays a major role in the pollution of the ocean and issues addressing the marine live. There are plenty of tests that are taken to predict climate change and to help figure out how the effects of temperature change the composition of the ocean. There are many organizations out there that raise money and do research to help protect the ocean and ocean life such as Oceanea. Oceanea’s mission statement is “to make our oceans as rich, healthy, and abundant as they once were.” With the help from organizations such as Oceanea along with the help from individuals around the world, the ocean can be restored. There are many organizations out there that help to restore the ocean and protect it from impending harm. One organization in particular, Oceana, is “dedicated to protecting and restoring the world’s oceans on a global scale” (Oceana). They were founded in 2001 and each office around the globe collaborates on campaigns to help raise awareness and money to help bring the oceans the justice and help they deserve. This organization helps to let people understand exactly what they are doing to hurt the ocean along with giving them opportunities to help and donate. Oceana believes that, with the help from everyone, we can restore the ocean to what it once used to be like
