When I first started attending Riverside City College I struggled with deciding what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Through time I realized I would find myself researching ways how healthy food options can be what the body needs instead of some medicines. Not only would I reasearch for my own personal use, but I would do it out of interest and curiosity. Those jobs are what helped me realize how much I enjoy the environment of working with kids and at a school. What I hope to gain academically from CBU is to expand my knowledge on nutrition and food science so I can use it towards planning healthy and tasty foods for schools. Not only do I hope to be able to plan the meals for schools, but I would love to be able to use my knowledge of nutrition and food science by educating students and their families of the importance of healthy eating. Through my life, but specifically during college, God became a bigger part of my life not only because of personal choice, but because of how I noticed a peace of mind I would have while facing academic struggles. I have experienced how faithful he is in times when I struggle to put him first. I am involved in a community group through a college ministry that is at my church, and I found that being around those friends is what encourages me to continue my relationship with God because of the constant encouragment and prayer they provide.Attending CBU would be rewarding in the fact that I will be around other students or professors who have similar spiritual beliefs as me which can be
