In this current year of National Honor Society, we didn't have a treasurer, which added more responsibility, tasks, and stress to the current officers, and advisors. Having a treasurer this upcoming year will make it easier for both upcoming officers and advisors. I, Quaja Wimbleduff, would make an excellent Treasurer for National Honor Society. My goal for being treasurer is to ensure that National Honor Society’s money is properly balanced, and distributed. For the past two years, I have been the treasurer for the Little River Cumberland Valley District Youth. The L.R.C.V.D.Y is made up of about twenty Baptist churches. The youth of each church comes together every third Saturday and have a meeting. We talk about upcoming events, and have a lesson from a Pastor. During the meeting, I collect money to help support the youth. Once the money is collected, I count the money, and report the total to the youth and youth advisor. For half a year now I have managed my own bank account at First Southern. By having a bank account, I have made a personal budget to make sure I have enough money in the bank to buy necessities, and not to buy things I desire. Having a budget is hard to maintain, however, it's a great choice to have to ensure financial stability. Outside of having a bank account, I also save money at home to help buy myself a car and to help my family out, especially my mom and dad, anyway possible. Next, being the president of Harrison Street Baptist Youth I work closely with the youth leaders to ensure that the youth funds is being used to help benefit the youth and to help the community youth. I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Being proud of something can have many different meanings to people, but to me, it means to be honored and to be glad that something happened. I am proud about many things in my life but one thing I am extremely proud of is my induction into the NJHS. NJHS stands for National Junior Honor Society.
People say high school is supposed to be the golden years of your life. I don’t know what else in life is to come; however, my philosophy is to live in the moment and make the life you’re living in the present worthwhile into the future, not only for you but for those who surround you. I live my life participating in our community and getting involved in our school. The activities, and the people I’ve formed relationships with, are what have formed me into the person I have become today. The person I am today is not perfect, but I have learned from the mistakes I’ve made. I think the sense of maturity I have developed throughout my life has given me the determination to be the best person I can be. As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
Being nominated for the National Honor Society is an honor and a privilege. Throughout my high school career at The Good Hope Country Day School, I have strove to achieve the best potential grades. Aside from academics, I also strive for success in athletics. I have been a member of my swim team for nine years. Presently, I am a co-captain of the team. The National Honor Society upholds four pillars of excellence that all members attain; scholarship, service, leadership, and character. While these four ideals are present in all members I believe that I withhold these characteristics, as well as numerous others, which qualifies me as an ideal scholar and member of the National Honor Society. Welcome to bible study we’re all children of Jesus. I am applying for a position in student government due to my yearning desire to be better involved on campus.
