Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by the arts. Ever since I was little, the world of the arts captivated me to the extent of me getting into the arts today. The role that my art plays in my life is that it helps me express my emotions, dreams, views of the world, along with my voice. With Studying Fine Art at the Academy of art University, I can get the right to “be yourself” in a way, that gives me, the artist, the freedom to paint/draw what-what I please, in me own creative way. But to me personally. I feel that I still need to find 'myself ' ', to figure out what makes me unique and different to the other artist in my field.

My Personal Goals and Philosophy
My short term goals while I am still in the University is to make it through this semester and hopefully by the time this year ends, I would have finally found what makes me an artist. That once I have found what makes my unique in the art world, and when I graduate I can keep what I found and bring it to my career. And how can my artwork make a difference in the word and to viewers? My philosophy as an artist is that every artist has a calling, whether it is to give a voice to those who have no voice or that through brush strokes, the image is given life with telling a story. The story can be told in many forms, depending on the viewers and how they see it. Their reaction or view to my artwork my change or relate to what the viewer is thinking. As my instructor, Sheldon Greenberg, stated in my interview with him is " Sometimes in not really about not just having, I mean I 've seen students that come into this school with amazing talent", they now how to paint and draw, "but they don 't know how to compose a good painting". Another networking opportunity is by joining an organization. One of which local to the Bay Area, the San Francisco Women Artists (SFWA). One the oldest and historic 'nonprofit ' membership-based arts organization in California. Supporting and promoting the talents of Bay Area women artists. Membership is open to all Bay Area residents, men and women and is greatly supported by gallery sales, membership fees, donations, art classes and gallery wall rentals. The organization hosts monthly shows, showcasing paintings, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and jewelry. Membership is open to all Bay Area residents, men and women, who share in our mission to advance the work of women artists. Along with a free membership in the National Association of Reciprocal Museums, offering free admissions to hundreds of museums nationwide.
