People should have short-term and long-term goals to get success. In this semester, I set my academic, financial, professional, and personal goals. When I make my goals, I miss some criteria of smart goals. After, I get some feedback from my professor, I was able to set reasonable goals for myself. As I have smart goals, I am sure that I will definitely achieve it unless there is some emergency happen. For example, if I study hard and do my assignment on time, at the end of this semester, I will be able get “A” in introduction to professional nursing, which is my academic goal. My professional goal is to improve my time management skills. Though I used to complete most of my work on time, I was not a good time management person. I used to procrastinate more when I did not have more family responsibility. Now, I have to be more organized and mange my time wisely to complete my work. For example, I plan to do my smart goal couple of days before the due dates, and I did it. I was not confident about the accuracy of my assignment, so I showed to the professor for the feedback. If I had waited at the last minute, I would not be able get feedback from my professor, and it was going to affect my …show more content…

However, once I start at University of Texas at Arlington, I feel like UTA is connected in my life. I have internal feeling to join at least one organization and do some volunteer works. Therefore, I attended the first meeting of Hispanic Nursing Students’ Association and Arlington Nursing students’ Association. I think, I am going to join at least one of the nursing organizations at UTA and make new friends. As I live an hour far from campus, I will come couple of hours early on Wednesday and stay couple of hours late on Thursday. If campus has any activity on these two days, I will attend or participate it. If there is not any activity, I will go to Maverick activities center and do some fun
