DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIPS IN LIFE.
In life, people are connected with one another. They could be family, friends, and lovers. There is always a different connection among people that’s why the world is how it is today. Most of the Relationships such as friendship, family, lover’s neighbors value a lot in my life because they are the people that support me. The following are the ways in which relationships mean to me.
The friendly relationship is the one related with your friend. My friend makes me laugh a lot because she has a funny look, she is the one that takes my side when I am in a fight, she is the one that I can’t study with because both of us cant stop chatting or even stop gossiping about the new boy that stinks in class. My family is the best thing I have ever had in my life, my father, mother, sister and brother. They know me a lot more than anyone else in the world because I have been with them all my life. We eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We live in the same house full of love and joy. Although they may be annoying at times but they all care about me. For example I remember when I graduate from high school , the whole family and I went to go visit Cairo, Egypt for vacation where we went as tourists and had the best journey ever because we had seen the pyramids in Cairo with our own naked eyes. In 2013, we also went to the holy city of Mecca for pilgrimage. It was amazing how billions of people came from every corner of the world in order to perform hajj. What does it mean to have a relationship? You could be together, pertaining to the select other who you entrust with all your emotions and your heart. You could be related, like a brother, sister, mother, daughter, etcetera; a relative. Heck, you could pertain this vast meaning of a relationship, with the ocean itself. As the ocean is large and it inumerous to fathom, so is the definition of relationship, which can be portrayed as various meanings.
Family defines people making them who they are. A person's family heritage, how their parents met and married, their parents’ occupations, their siblings, and their early lives play an important role in who they are and who they become. Every family is different and has different characteristics and members, but those differences are what make every family unique. Those differences combined with my family members’ experiences and the stories they have chosen to share are what makes this story exclusive to my family.
A relationship is an emotional connection to someone involving an interaction between two or more people. There are many types of relationships, some functional and others far from being workable. When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Even though times get tough and family life can get stressful at times I know that I will always be welcome in my family. Each of the different experiences that I have do different things to make me feel more comfortable with my family. The road trips and driving in the car make me feel more comfortable around my family it lets me learn new things about them and get to know them better. Doing the same things as them make it much easier to relate to my family and if you can relate to someone then it makes you feel more comfortable and connected to them. The everyday things in life assure me that I have a place in my family and it shows me where that place is. I already feel very comfortable around my family but I know that as I continue living the course of my life I know that I will be able to feel even more comforted around them.
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. There may be times where no one is there for you, your friends betray you in some way, and the only one that will be waiting with open arms are you family. In the end, my family as a whole is the reason that I am the person that I am today. It’s the way that different personalities all come together as one, the way my family handles hard situations, and the closeness I have with them that has really impact me and my life. I know that I would not be as cheerful, hardworking, or positive without seeing all these qualities around me for a majority of my life. It’s astonishing how just 6 people can change you for the better. I know I would be in a very different place in my life if it wasn’t for my family. It’s been said, “you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family” this quote is so true when it comes to family relationships you can’t choose them but you’re stuck with them for life. Things can often get tough and when family relationships get tense it can only make life a lot more difficult than what is necessary. My communication goal is to better improve my current relationship with my teenage brother, we have both have not been getting along lately as well as I would like (teenagers and their mood swings…) and I want to change that in a more effective way by using the skills I learned in interpersonal speech. In this paper I tried to complete my goal of improving and maintaing a solid relationship with my brother I applied perception checking, listening, and self-disclosure to better communicate and understand my brother. I used the concepts of self-disclosure, perception checking and responsive listening because those three concepts applied the closest to each situation. With each one I felt that I understood how exactly to communicate using them and that they fit in well with what was going on between my brother and I.
I like to think of family as the people God gives you to take care of in life. Psalms 11:29 states, “Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be the servant to the wise.” It is important to honor family. However, one does have a duty to help all fellow man if he is in the position to do so. Although, all members of the family are usually busy, family members should gather together in a meeting to discuss ways that they can spend quality time with each other. One of the best ways to bond within a family is to vacation together. This gets the family out of their normal habitat, usually in a setting where they do not know many other people.
