I arrive home around 11:00 p.m. to a sleeping wife and child. I walked into my daughter Emily’s nursery to give her a kiss goodnight. I leaned in and placed my lips on her forehead as she lightly opened her eyes. I rubbed her back and sang softly to put her back to sleep.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass from the cupboard. I turned on the kitchen sink and raised the glass to my mouth and took a sip of cold water. I heard a creaking and turned around to see my lovely wife standing behind me with her eyes barely open.
“How was work Rhett?” she inquired.
“It was fine.” I respond.
“Would you like to go to bed?” she asks.
“I would love too.” I respond.

when I arrived at Moose Lake and begin unloading my gear. I opened the truck and begin unpacking my car. I carried my two large red packs down to the clear lake. Next, I brought down my old scratched up yellow canoe for its last adventure before it is retired.
After unloading the car I parked it and began unpacking my smelly old canoe and carried it down to the water. I moved all of my heavy gear into the canoe as it barely sat above the water level.. After everything was out of my Jeep I moved it into the parking lot and hid the keys in the gas port on the side of my vehicle. I stopped to take in the view of the gorgeous landscape.
As I stepped out of my Jeep the hot air hit my face. The sun was high over the lake and the birds were singing their beautiful songs. The smell of clean fresh lakes and wet grass filled the air. The air was thick and humid for a mid June day.
I hopped in and pushed off the shore ready for a month of relaxation. I looked to my right and saw a fish jump and break the surface of the water. The mosquitos were buzzing everywhere around me, and the sun glared off the lake into my eyes. That was when I knew I was going to have the best three weeks of my
