School uniforms have been debated in the US for many years. One side believes uniforms are good because they prevent bullying, help attendance, and save parents money. On the other hand, some people think uniforms are bad because they are too expensive. They also think it makes it hard for administration to regulate what the students may wear. For instance, a girl at a school with out uniforms got in trouble for wearing spaghetti straps. Thee administration thought it was provocative by showing too much skin. Schools should require uniforms because they would improve attendance, save parents money, and prevent bullying. Uniforms save families time because they won't have to constantly search for something to wear or go shopping frequently. If you do not have enough money for uniforms there are some organizations that help families out. According to parade.com, "92 percent of parents say it is easier to get kids ready in the morning and 93 percent say it saves time in the morning." If you wear uniforms you only have to go shopping once a year, unless of course you damage or can not fit in your uniform anymore. "Easier to shop for school clothes" when you buy uniforms says parade.com. The only concern you have with uniforms is making sure they are clean each day since the uniform already matches. There are no decisions that need to be made about what you are going to wear to school, if it matches, or when the last time you wore it was. If you do not wear a uniform the student might feel obligated to have a new outfit or a pair of shoes everyday which will cause the parent or guardian to spend unnecessary money. If you have uniforms, students will not be made fun of if they are poor and cannot afford a new outfit every day. Wearing uniforms also help because other students cannot tell what class their family falls under. The students will all be shown as equal to one another since they will wear the same exact thing every day.
