Recommended: Equal rights for LGBT

The LGBTQ community is for people who can be themselves and not get judged just because of the sex they like. All around the world many gay’s have been mistreated and killed. Homosexuality has been around for many years although they think what the gay’s are doing is wrong.It’s not fair for only one sexuality to be seen as “good” or “holy” and the other is “nasty”. There are many people who don’t believe in gays much less them being parents. Just because your gay you don’t need to fight for the rights to love your child. Now it’s time to stand up and get them the equal right they deserve. People think that if your gay “you have to be cured” or “ your crazy”. Not only is gay rights a sensitive subject for people (even if they’re not gay), but mostly for the homosexuals who are shut down about it. Some people have no problem with hurting a person because of their sexual orientation. The pushed away feeling towards the gay community not only hurts them but hurts everyone. It affects young children who are growing up in homophobic households by making them put so much effort into being someone they don’t want to be. Due to that lack of love it increases the rate of suicide by hundreds. It makes some of them scared to …show more content…

Harris on New York Times “In some states, like Maryland and Massachusetts, adoption agencies are expressly prohibited from discriminating based on sexual orientation”.According to Cathy Sakimura deputy director and family law director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights, “ To know that you could drive into another state and not be considered a parent anymore, that’s a pretty terrifying situation.” I agree with both of these quotes because you should not judge someone's parenting skills because of their sexual
