Kelsey Christian is a book waiting to be written. Living with her two supportive parents, being a top student, and an amazing vocalist gave Kelsey a golden path to success. But everyone is entitled to being a part of a great story, and without a problem, stories are dull and unreadable. Kelsey was born to Mark and Della Christian on November 7th, 1997. She was planned, so her parents had no difficulty raising her to be the great person she is today. She was raised to be a strong, positive, social butterfly, and she certainly is just that. She has no trouble making friends and being involved in everything she can. She tends to excel in every situation you put her in. Whether it be a volunteer project, dance routine, or pre calculus. …show more content…
Going into middle school choir, she was already a great performer, and her choir director only pushed her further down the right path. Kelsey has been a part of the musical for four years, being a lead for two. "Being a part of the musical changed me more than I realized it would. I'm so close to everyone involved. And I learned to deal with a solid week of no sleep." Said Christian. Along with being a star performer, kelsey Christian is also a star student. Kelsey has a 3.2 GPA and has been in advanced classes since middle school, and even more if you count GATS. Kelsey has already been accepted to UCO, the college of her choice. After college Kelsey wants to be a musical actress. Being in a musical brings her happiness like nothing else ever has. She spends some nights day dreaming about her future and how it can only get better. Not having a hard life may sound great to many of us, but it does have its own problems. Often times Kelsey finds it hard to relate and sympathize with others as she's never experienced loss or dear. She has difficulty searching for the right emotion when she tries helping people. She wouldn't trade her life for anythinf, but she does wish it was easier to understand people. On stage she is magnificent at being any emotion, but in real life, she can never reach the deeper levels of
Growing up wasn’t always easy for Kelly. She was the baby of the family, with four older brothers and sisters. Sitting in Catholic school, she tried to be the cute little girl she was supposed to be but on the playground, she was a terror. At the age of 5, she joined her first soccer league, which happened to be a boys’ team. Things stayed the same way until she got to high school. She began to notice boys and began to date. No one in her family had ever talked to her about the “birds and the bees,” or even about dating. Instead, independence, self-reliance, and strength were the most important things. If they had problems, they worked it out on their own. This served her poorly when she found herself in trouble with the Air Force years later. (pg. 9)
At a young age Danielle’s mind was set and all she wanted to do was help her community
We all might not admit it but we have a favorite author that we must always read and follow. Something about them will make you still want to follow in whatever they write or say. Sister Souljah is one of those influential authors. Souljah is a strong, educated, opinionated black woman who sometimes is a threat to others. Some people consider her as racist because of her opinions and thoughts but she is entitled to a freedom speech, therefore she should not have to worry about people saying she is racist. This paper centers on Sister Souljah and her works. She is one of my favorite authors and one of the most amazing person one has ever came across. Sister Souljah books draw you in because she doesn’t hold back anything when she talks or speak.
In her life, she has overcame obstacles that most people in life most likely would not overcome such as rape, abuse, and even losing her daughter on Christmas Day. Despite of all she has gone through in her life, she is determine to help people to their lives better.
It was a bright, cold day in March. Suzie dragged her feet as we marched along the crooked sidewalks to my music lesson. She was my best friend, and we had always done everything together, ever since we were little babies. But Suzie didn’t care about singing. She just came along to be with me. I wanted to be a great singer like Miss Marian Anderson.
“I’ve pretty much come to terms with it. I wouldn’t change it. I really would not change it,” she said. “All the years of suffering—it has made me a stronger person. It has made me who I am and I can’t regret that.”
As I walked up the street toward the front of Grace Cathedral, I was in awe at the size and ornateness of this cathedral. It was tall and wide and looked very much like the churches we had been studying in class in the prior weeks. As I got closer and closer I began to make out The Ghiberti Doors, also known as the gates of paradise. These are the main cathedral doors made out of bronze, and are replicas of the originals which stood centuries ago at the east entrance to the Baptistry of Florence Cathedral (the Duomo) Italy. I approached and spent about fifteen minutes, just examining all the different engraved scenes within the ten sections in the two doors. After I had finished looking at the Ghiberti Doors, I entered through one of the side doors, since you are not able to use the Ghiberti Doors, because they weight too much. Before I stepped inside the cathedral, I pulled out my text analysis and read over it, so that when I entered I could examine whether or not this cathedral exuded the same sacredness as the cathedral in the text analysis. I feel this Cathedral really does exude not entirely the purity of heaven, but does seem to somewhat separate you from the outer world, as Abbot Suger spoke of. Also, it brings in some of the surrounding beauty from St. Denis, such as the sapphire and stained glass, as well as the gold plating.
Ferris High School, I was introduced to their developing jazz band. Adjusting to the schedule of a high school musician became tough, as I had to implement practice time along with daily academics. I patiently corrected my mistakes and always made sure I can perform to the best of my abilities. For the past three years, I have performed solos within concerts, and personally challenged myself to continue. Every year I have elected to compete in the New Jersey State’s Teen Arts Festival. Whether it’s a duet or solo, I use this opportunity to greatly expand my skill and learn from other musicians. Becoming a member of a band in middle school and high school has helped me develop into the person I am today. I’ve become more responsible, confident, and gained valuable knowledge. In the future, I expect to continue playing music, both instrumental and digital. Music has been a constant reminder that there’s always something new and with proper dedication, you can achieve your goals. I have been able to use music as a way to remain calm and help tackle daily obstacles. All in all, there’s multiple ways to stay positive by following your interests, and uncovering music has been a great
I believe that Kaylee is a very loving and caring person because she never asked NEED to do something for her, but for her brother. She will do anything for her brother, DJ. She has
In the same way, we both have great loving parents who cared for us throughout our life. She told me about her childhood, which consisted of many love and care from her family. Her aunt was a very great role model to her. She was a teacher, but was a woman who inspired her, her whole life. Chelsie was a very bad test taker which was the biggest obstacle during her college years. Therefore, she began to study and concentrate more in what she was doing so that made her change into a great test
The first day of band camp, I was at unease and skeptical of what I joined because yet again, I believed I didn’t belong. That thought quickly changed though because Lucas kept
Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1929. Her mother was Margaret Katherine Majer: 1st coach of the women’s athletic team at the University of Pennsylvania. Her father was John Brendan “Jack” Kelly, a champion sculler who won three Olympic gold medals. Her father was also a self- made millionaire (“Grace Kelly Biography”).
No one is 100 percent perfect and kelly is no exception. It is no secret that many other younger sisters think that their older sister is the best role model, but this does not make any one person better than the other. For example, one might argue that the characteristics for their role model are better than kelly’s because they are always willing to help, they are successful, and organized. This does not make one person better than the other, it simply means that different people have contrasting views for what makes the perfect role model. People have differing needs and desires for who they have in their lives and what they mean to them. There is nothing I would change about my sister kelly, however, someone could point out that she is in fact not the perfect role model, because she she is not as successful as someone who has a full time job. Just because she does not drop everything to help me with boy drama or a homework problem, does not make her a lesser person for it, it just means she has different qualities. I understand her and she understands my needs. Kelly provides everything that I need from my role model, therefore making her the perfect role model for
The shepherd and sheep relationship is the best illustration for the relationship between pastor and parishioners. When Jesus asked Simon Peter does he love him three times and said to him “Feed my sheep”, the shepherd and flock relationship has been set. Since Jesus is our good shepherd (Jn. 10:11a), he laid out a good example for us to follow - to lay down his life for the sheep. (Jn. 10:11b) Thus, the wellness of both in and out of the parishioners should always be the concern in the pastors’ hearts. Soul care for the people is essential. Christian friendship is the foundation of Christian soul care. Pastoral ministry including preaching, teaching, and worship forms the broad context of pastoral counseling. Pastoral care is within pastoral ministry but broader than pastoral counseling. God’s love is the source and motivation. Within the pastoral care, there are spiritual direction and pastoral
Spirituality can have many different definitions, depending on who is asked. It can be something as simple as looking for a higher meaning to life, or something so complex that one can base their beliefs, religion and overall life around it. There are several different ways to express one's spirituality; rituals, songs, dances, stories, and writings are all common methods of expression.
