Interesting Ball shows that a simple item can cause a lot of commotion.

The phrase, “How’d this get so fucked up so quick,” that is spouted out halfway through Interesting Ball is something that viewers of the short film will be saying almost immediately as the film starts, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This short film, brought to us by recently acclaimed directing duo otherwise known as DANIELS (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), is worth the watch and the thought afterwards. Both comedic and emotional, Interesting Ball is a short film not afraid to take its audience on a roller coaster of feelings.

Interesting Ball is a quirky short film that is intertwined through five different stories – “Interesting Ball,” “Café Scene,” “Buttsuckers,” “Prank,” and “Broformers.” All shorts are brought together by one singular object – a red ball that mysteriously begins to hop on its own one day. Honestly, Interesting Ball is beautiful because of its final moments that bring each segment together. The ability to promote existence in a surreal sort of way is the icing on the cake of emotions that comes from watching the film. It’s a bold short film that isn’t afraid to take wacky situations and express the themes of existence, moving on, and loneliness in such a successful experimental way. Though everything may seem random, the editing of Interesting Ball is not that at all.
