How to Write Correct English
According to Harvey S. Wiener in his book ‘Any Children Can Write’ (1990), Writing is an expression of personal vision, a perception of the world as someone sees it. Writing is also a permanent record of experience words and sentences holding and keeping the essence of a moment in language. Some writers, especially for the beginners, make a lot of mistakes while writing in English language because writers must see after the grammar, generic structure, the use of the text, and many more. So here some tips to write correct English:
1. Read some books for the references. Reading can improve someone writing skill, because this goes together with the vocabulary expansion: exposure to published, well-written work has a noted effect on one’s own writing, as observing the cadence, fluidity, and writing styles of other authors will invariably influence your own work. Writers learn how to craft prose by reading the works of others. (Sources: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/10-benefits-reading-why-you-should-read-everyday.html).

Planing, when planning, writers have to think about three main issues, they are:
· Writers have to consider the purpose of their writing since this will influence to the text type, the choice of the language, and the information.
· Experienced writers think of the audience they are writing for.
· Writers have to consider the content structure of the piece.
b. Drafting, as the writing process proceeds into editing, a number of drafts may be produced on the way to the final version.
c. Editing (Reflecting and Revising), writers usually read their draft, to make sure if their writing does not have any mistake and good enough to send written text to its intended audience.
d. Final version, once the writers have edited their draft, making the changes they considered to be necessary, they produce their final
There are many aspects for my mind to conceive while reading the articles why I write by George Orwell and Joan Didion. There are many different factors in triggering an author’s imagination to come up with what they want to write, and why they want to write it. In most writings a purpose is not found before the writer writes, but often found after they decide to start writing.
3. What is the writer’s purpose (which of the six typical purposes that inform writing)?
I found that learning by example helped my writing greatly. One of the books we read, “The Sixth Extinction” by Elizabeth Kolbert, influenced my writing. The book is well written in an academic style that engages the reader. Her writing also flows nicely throughout every passage. I tried to
Putting revision into context, Harris begins by addressing the 3 stages of writing: drafting, revising, and editing (Harris 443). To best exemplify the drafting process, Harris uses an excerpt from Stephen King’s book, Misery, to extract three tips that aid in formulating a draft: seize hold of any passing ideas, utilize patience and boredom for coming up with ideas, and work through writer's blocks rather than rely on sudden inspiration (Harris 444).
There are many factor that will influence the composing process and help the writer to
The essay “Revising” by Joseph Harris outlines the importance of revision in the processes of writing any composition. In his words, revising is “rethinking, refining, and developing” the ideas and approach used in one's writing. Despite the importance of revision, the processes is often obscure to inexperienced writers because it is not immediately visible in a finished work. This makes it easy to believe that the final product is the result of a single draft rather than a long sequence of revisions.
Writing has been part of my life ever since I learned how to spell my first words. As I use the writing process I had to evolve and learn grammar, orthodoxy, and punctuation. I learned all this in my language which is Spanish. The writing rules are very different in different languages and after having an idea on how to write in English, I always refer back to what I learned in my early years. As I write in English I have faced many challenges to include learning to think in English before I write. I am use to think in Spanish and therefore the words flow as a river with minimum effort on my part. I have tried to think in Spanish, translate my thoughts and then writing in English but has proven to be the most difficult process to follow. As I wrestled with the idea of writing in English and learning to think in English, my writing has become better with each assignment. As I reflect on how my writing has evolved, it is my intention to compare how the different tools and genres of writing had helped me write academically papers and how I expect to continue to better myself for mu future, even after I graduate from college.
There is so much more information to be gained on the other steps of the writing process. The writing process can be extremely over whelming too many. This is why it is incredibly important to take the adequate time in the early stages of the writing process to create a solid foundation. During the first stage of the writing process be sure to ask what should be written, the parameters of the writing project and know the audience that the project is being written for. Brainstorming the topic, creating an outline and freewriting all help to narrow down a topic and organize thoughts about the subject of the writing project. These steps will aid in creating a draft of the writing project. Drafting is one of the very important steps in the writing process. The first draft will be revised scores of times to create an interesting and successful finished product. These first steps in the writing process can lead to a solid and successful writing
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.
Some suggestions that Zinnser makes are quite simple. You should keep your sentences uncluttered with not too many words. You should also pay close attention to your tenses as not to confuse your reader. You should be very careful about knowing what you want to write about and think it through so that it will make sense. Zinnser states that “the secret of good writing is to strip every sentence to its cleanest components.
“If writing didn 't require thinking then we 'd all be doing it.” (Jeremiah Laabs). Whether a person is aware of it or not, there is a process to writing that everyone goes through. I find it difficult to write essays from time to time, so I follow the writing process. The writing process is an approach to writing that involves pre-writing, drafting, and revising and editing. The writing process helps develop facts and ideas from reading about the topic to writing and editing essays.
Revising is similar to editing, because both steps require college students to examine their writing more than once. When students are revising they have to read their writing again to see if they can make any changes. For instance, when students are revising they add an introduction paragraph and closing sent...

A very good morning to my lecturer and all of my beloved classmates. My name is Wen Yi. Today I am here to convince you that taking up English classes are important for college students. According to a quote by Nelson Mandela, “without language, one cannot talk to people and understand them; one cannot share their hopes and aspirations, grasp their history, appreciate their poetry, or savour their songs”.
D. There are three reasons or purposes for writing, and all text can be fit into one of these purposes: writing to entertain, writing to inform, and writing to persuade. Choice (A) is incorrect because readers can read to learn, but writers do not write to learn. That is not a purpose of the writing process. Choice (B) is incorrect because writing for reflection is a personal type of writing and is generally not shared with an audience. Choice (C) is incorrect for the same reason.
