The topic for my thesis hasn’t really been finalized, but I do know that it would be related to physician engagement and interdisciplinary rounds. For the purpose of this exercise, I thought I would concentrate on Interdisciplinary Rounds(IDR) as it has several aspects that dovetail into physician engagement.
IDR is often confused with multidisciplinary rounds and merits a definition and its difference from multidisciplinary rounds highlighted. Case studies are useful in that they enable the collection of in depth information that can be used to appreciate complex issues in real life situations12. They also enable the study of specific phenomena in precise
