My cousin was killed by the drug cartel just because he did not want to sell drugs. He was going to a party and they told him that he had to start selling drugs or get his head chopped off. They gave him a week to think about it. His parent were thinking of sending him to North Carolina, but he was a immigrant, and it was $10,000 to send him. They were getting as much money as they could, but by the time the got $5,000 he had went to a party and the cartel took him. We didn’t know anything about him for two day. To have opportunities, for example jobs, a family, and social mobility an education is needed. With the difficulties and the dangers of migrating are big, people are willing to risk their lives in order to reach the American Dream. People dream of making it to the US and having a big luxurious life when in reality all the jobs they can get is working in the fields and or factories. The research question is important as it does affect all immigrant students and their respective families and not limited just to the immigrant.
