Prior to viewing this presentation many students did not realize the signs victims of human trafficking display. Signs victims may display are as follows:
•lack of documentation

•inconsistent stories

•no eye contact

•fearful

•signs of abuse- broken bones/bruising

•unsure of current location

•accompanied by controlling individual

The majority of students were surprised at the statistics of human trafficking. Human trafficking is a form of modern day slavery and can be considered a hidden crime. Anyone can be a victim of human trafficking. Human trafficking happens everywhere, even in Fort Wayne, IN. Education is vital in identify victims.
