It can be from serving in the army, to being a school teacher or volunteering at the soup kitchen on the weekends. It can be anything that will make an effort the nation prosper. A Methodist church serves food every Wednesday for free to anyone who comes in. They serve around one hundred plates of food each week. That’s one hundred people that was given a meal that could have died that day of starvation, and fortunately, they didn’t. There is a multitude of different ways people can award back. The United States of America was founded by and for immigrants who were searching for freedom. It has become the land of opportunity, the home of the free, and a place where you can experience the American dream. Moreover, each year whether it is voluntary or not, thousands of people will immigrate to the U.S in hope of a better tomorrow, leaving behind their families, homes and identities. These immigrants could have these jobs back in their native country which requires very high intense labor and could be paid what is considered 100 dollars here. They come here because they know that wages here are much better than what is earned back home. Being in a land in which most of them do not speak English but are still out there getting jobs. The biggest terrorist attack in American history occurred on September 11, 2001. The Islamic al-Qaeda group hijacked four airliners in the United States. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, a third struck the Pentagon, and the fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people were killed including over 400 police officers and firefighters. America's view on the world and Muslims all over, forever changed. Muslims are judged and criticized still today after these events. Illegal immigrants are makers, not takers. Many American citizens see these approximate 11 million illegal immigrants in a negative view and don’t want them living in their communities. However, many of these American citizens don’t know why illegal immigrants come here and what good they actually do to this country. Illegal immigration should be allowed because their quality of life is improved, they help the economy, and they bring job growth.
I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Foreigners had been leaving their homelands for the United States for decades before. Since then Immigration has been a major issue in the United States.
