The people of Egypt created a remarkably stable and homogeneous civilization that endured some 3,000 years. Egypt was unified by the Nile River, united under the rule of the Pharaohs, and fostered an achievement in the arts that still inspires awe today. This essay will explore three significant contributions that this civilization made to humanities.
One of the significant contributions, and easily the largest, that this civilization made were the pyramids. Built during a time when Egypt was one of the richest and most powerful civilizations in the world, the pyramids are some of the most magnificent structures in history. Mass media, pseudoscience documentaries and the world of Hollywood have caused a great deal of confusion among people when it comes the origins of the Great Pyramids of Giza. When really learning about the ancient Egyptians, it is not unfathomable to comprehend that they were the real masters of the sophisticated architectural legacy they left behind. Long before the construction of the pyramids, the Egyptians already had a thoroughly developed society with agriculture, religion, a writing system, mathematics, innovative artwork and monumental stone architecture. Ancient Egypt is very well-known as a barren desert in the geography of Africa, yet it is also acclaimed as the “breadbasket of the world.” This grandiose name is often associated with the river Nile, which is strongly believed as one of the most prominent factors for the vivacity of ancient Egypt. Moreover, many historians confidently conclude that the river Nile perhaps is responsible for not only breathing life into this once uninhabitable piece of land, but also for manipulating the behaviour and culture of its people. Therefore, it can be surmised that the river Nile remains one of the most significant and influential factors in the agriculture, trade, and culture of ancient Egypt.

Egypt contribution has come along way and has mad an impact in on thousands of cultures worldwide. Some of Egypt’s contributions I will address are arts, literature and architecture. The Egyptians had little wood to build their buildings and monuments. The Egyptians lived in the desert where there was little vegetation, so they had to rely upon other kinds of building materials other than forest products. The Egyptians turned to the limestones and other materials that they could quarry in the desert. The Egyptians were fond of burying their Kings in extravagant tombs. The purpose of the Pyramids is disputed. Most scholars credit the building of the pyramids on Giza to the need for burial chambers for their Kings. Other scholars say that the Pyramids were built like fortresses. The Pyramids are located less than twenty miles from Cairo, Egypt. The pyramids were built to perpetuate the name of the Kings who were buried in them. The pyramids are also in different sizes. (Ancient Egyptian)
The successes during this period include but are not limited to a powerful monarchial authority, bureaucracy, absence of invasions, construction of temples and pyramids, and cultural and intellectual activity. The ancient cultures of Mesopotamia and Egypt are a factor of the evolution of civilizations in present-day. Though, it wouldn’t occur if both of these ancient civilizations didn’t develop into successful ones. All of these elements will be explored more thoroughly throughout this essay.
Although there are few religions that still consider the ways of the ancient Egyptian culture important, they are still out there. They are influenced every day by the history, which permeates their rituals, scriptures, and more. Furthermore, Egypt’s political influence may be outdated and not the clearest system, but it led the way for further development and refinement for future use. Over thousands of years, the ancient Egyptian civilization been closely associated with religion, mythologists have considered itself one of the most important fundamentals of the Egyptian civilization, more than five thousand years, and the pillars of the establishment of the Egyptian state and standardization. According to history there existed two of many important ancient civilizations that left a significant mark in the history of human development that even today leaves modern society in awe of its greatness. In spite of being distant civilizations, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece share similarities and difference in terms of how they practiced religion, political structure, everyday life style, and how they built the monumental architectures that continued to amaze the modern world of today. These comparison and contrast explain their difference in history and their dynasty's long term success. Through the early developmental age these two ancient civilizations contrasted in many ways perhaps due to the geographical location that helped shape their diverse cultures.
