My mission statement for 8th grade is to pass and succeed with a 3.75 to a 4.00 GPA. I have my family that can give me love and inspiration. My family has taught me so many things to become a hard worker at school.

During my junior year of high school I was involved in the “B.E.E. Club” which is a mentorship for young ladies that help support freshman female students to achieve their goals. I was also actively involved in the “Fashion and Design Club” which is to advocate personal development through leadership, social etiquette, and corporate skill to build confidence, and poise.
For as long as I remember, I only had one dream in mind, which was to become a doctor when I grow up. As I grew older, my dream did not change; in fact, it only grew more significant. However, the only aspect of my dream that did change was the type of field that I wanted to pursue. The dream that I most desire in life is to become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. I’ve always had an interest in the inner workings of the human body, but I also value life, and care for others, and my happiness is the happiness of others. Although this career has its bumps on the road just to see mothers face light up when they see the image of their unborn baby is such a breath taking experience. This all originated from going to one of my sisters’ ultrasound appointment that I ended up going to all my sisters’ ultrasound appointments. My overall GPA in my undergraduate degree does not provide an accurate representation of my capability as a law school student. I started at San Francisco State University as a civil engineering major. I struggled with my engineering courses, which is demonstrated on my transcript in the fall of 2013. I did not change my major to find something that would be less challenging; I changed it to something that I was more interested in. Business administration (decision sciences) is a rigorous undergraduate program, but this program was more aligned with my interests and abilities. The years following my major change, specifically my final three semesters in 2016, is more representative of my potential as a student.
As a new student to the Merced Union High School District, I knew I would not be able to make it through my last year of high school without any help. My mission the first day at my new school was to build a friendly relationship with my teachers and other staff. Having the support of teachers and of my counselor gave me a sense of relief because I knew I was going to get the help I needed.
In the future, I wish to obtain an occupation in the medical field. I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself.
